Humming while duchening:
Our regular Cohen has a long melody he hums before saying the last word of each line while duchening. If I were a Cohen, I imagine my humming would go like this:
Hm, hm hm, hm-hm-hm humm hummm hum,
Hm, hm hm, hm-hm-hm humm hummm hum,
Hm, hm hm, hm-hm-hm humm hummm hum,
Hm HUMMM, (psst, chazan: what was that word again?)

I somehow came across your blog - you have some real gems here, but keep it well hidden.
There was once a case in the shul I was in where one guy after a long huu-hummmming session, then shouted out the wrong word! I think they need cue cards or a prompter!
